Remember Tom?

If you were on the Internet 10 years ago, then most likely you signed up for this thing called MySpace. You know, the site before Facebook? And if you did, then you instantly became friends with the most popular man on the web: MySpace co-founder, Tom Anderson.
Tom is a big San Francisco Giants fan and isn’t too thrilled that one of the familiar faces of the franchise might leave to go elsewhere. But not by choice.
Former two-time Cy Young award winner Tim Lincecum is a free agent and it doesn’t look very promising for him to resign with the Giants. With the team signing Johnny Cueto and Jeff Samardzija to big contracts this winter, and Lincecum coming off hip surgery, there may not be room for him in the rotation or on the payroll.
It appears Tom knows this and gave the Giants and a very unique proposition:

Since MySpace sold for about $58o million back in 2005 to News Corp, it’s safe to say that Tom is good for the money.
